September Sock

The Christmas socks have been fun to do. I'm almost finished with my second sock. I'm going to do the snowman eyes and buttons in duplicate stitch, since I was short on the black yarn. Yarn is all from my stash--main color is Knitpicks Stroll Sport in Hollyberry; the trees are also Stroll Sport. The other colors are fingering yarn held double. The snowmen also have a strand of angora knitted with the fingering, but it was a thin strand and didn't turn out as fuzzy as I had hoped. Fun pattern! Thanks, Tama!

Just Yer Basic Black Tabi Socks

I wear flipflops a lot, and I wanted a simple pair of black tabi socks, but I hate knitting with solid black yarn.

Solution: knit in just about any boring colourway, then overdye with Rit! I found an excellent buy on yarn...2 skeins on sale for just $5, a hard-to-beat and impossible-for-me-to-pass up deal.

Serenity Sock Yarn. Needles: 2.25mm

I love new socks, even simple basic black ones!

The Monster Knit of the summer!

This shawl took most of the summer to knit, I finally got it blocked and given away! The pattern is Summer Rain by Renee Levington. I used Knit Picks Shadow in Red Hot.

August Winner

Sorry, I totally dropped the ball Barb!!  Sandy, you are our August winner!!  I was supposed to take care of this because the hurricane had Barb a little out of commission there for a couple of weeks.  Please forgive me...I actually have a pretty good excuse :o)  Got three more sock designs I am working on right now for the blog!!  I am so excited.  They are awesome, in my opinion lol.  Expecially the Halloween ones.  And a friend of mine asked me to create a design for her from a picture she found in a museum--having lots of fun with that also!

Anyway, Sandy, if you want to go to my store and select a prize then email that to me along with your address I'll get it out to you.

In the mean time, I hope you are enjoying the Christmas designs.

Something finished in August

The pattern is Crocus fields

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crocus-fields-in-early-spring I used some Jawoll in superwash. Fun knit, it has been a while since I knit a pair of socks, I had spent the summer knitting on a monster shawl that still needs to be blocked. I am looking forward to the KAL.

Ready...Set...KAL time!

I just emailed out the two Christmas sock patterns for the KAL to everyone.  If you didn't get yours it's because I don't have your email.  Please let me know if you don't get yours.

You don't have to make both to qualify for the prize.  It was ALOT of fun making these patterns and I hope you enjoy them also.

Happy Knitting!
