I thought I would get us started for the month.  I just finished this the other day.  If you are looking for a VERY quick, lovely gift I would definately recommend this.  Yes, it is an afghan/lap quilt, but the pattern calls for bulky yarn--Ecological Wool by Cascade--and knits up SOO fast.  Literally two weeks just working on it here and there.
Pattern Name:  Hemlock Ring Blanket
Designer:  Brooklyn Tweed
Pattern location:  Ravelry
Yarn Used:  KnitPicks Bare Swish Bulky--superwash wool
Yardage:  About 600 to 900 yards depending on how large you want it to get.
Needles:  US Size 10--36" circulars and dpns
Someone is going to be very happy with their Christmas present :o)
Happy knitting everyone.

Nice! I bet it's warm too with that type of yarn
I know these patterns from my grandmother, but she made them to hang over the sofa or put on a table or so.
How do you use this? I've absolutely no idea. Hope you can clear the big question mark above my head.
